Comment: It is the first time since 1988 that George Michael is performing live in Australia. The concert runs almost an hour late. It is a horribly humid night in Perth, and being indoors, the Burswood Dome arena is stiflingly hot. The stage setting is comparable to the setting we know from the 25Live tour (as is the setlist). There are three large screens and two smaller ones. George didn't bring his 'ski-slope' LED video screen but he did bring the video imagery and graphics. A two-storey scaffolding construction on either side of the video screen in the middle accommodates the musicians. The setting also includes a catwalk, extending from the main stage to the middle of the arena, leading to a smaller stage. George is working his way, up and down and engaging the crowd.

'Jesus To A Child', 'A Different Corner' and surprisingly 'Freedom '90' are omitted from the original setlist for tonight. So the concert ends with the one encore for tonight, Careless Whisper. Nobody expects it to be nor recognises it as the encore George Michael would finish the concert with, so the fans are left a bit surprised and even shocked when suddenly the light are turned on. George would later say he cropped the setlist because he was "knackered".

Despite the heat in the venue - which George comments on in his own unique way - (and being knackered), George is giving it everything tonight in Perth. He is sounding very strong vocally.
